A member of our team recently spent some time in Turkey and came back with a few holiday snaps… showing how local businesses can take brand names familiar to British audiences and use very simlar looking brand names to sell their goods and services. Some examples are shown below…
This raises the question, why do brands not make trade mark applications to cover all countries and territories? Well, for one thing, that would be very time consuming and very costly.
